Autumn is everyone’s favorite season for family photography…

…which is why we’re talking about it in April! As a luxury family photographer here in Cincinnati, I plan ahead to provide the best possible service for my clients. My autumn calendar typically fills up extremely quickly (in 2021, it filled in an hour, and in 2022 it filled in a weekend), so here is everything you need to know to get on my calendar and have a gorgeous session that makes images you’ll treasure for a lifetime. When does scheduling open?

For my membership clients, scheduling opens via email on May 16 at 8 pm. For non-membership clients, I will send out an email to my email list at 9 am on May 21 with the link to book.

Membership clients are those who have worked with me previously and opted into my annual portrait membership, Memory Keepers. You can read more about the membership here, and invitations will go out to 2023 clients in November.

What types of sessions will you be scheduling for autumn?

I will be releasing about 25 session spots for families. These will include a mix of full and petite sessions, with both weeknight and weekend availability. My membership clients will get about 15 of these spots, with approximately ten being left for clients on my email list.

I really love your client closet dresses. Can I wear one for my session?

I am adding some gorgeous new dresses for autumn 2023! These dresses add so much beauty to images, and they are available exclusively for my full session clients (Memory Keepers are able to access the client closet for all their sessions).

We have a busy schedule with work or extracurriculars. How flexible is your fall schedule?

Fall is the busiest time of year, so it is my least flexible. I will be sharing my fall availability a week or so before my calendar releases, so families are able to plan ahead. I recommend selecting a first, second, and third choice date, in case the dates you are hoping for are already booked. I do not have enough weekend availability to accommodate all clients, so many fall sessions are weeknights. I schedule all sessions approximately 75-90 minutes before sunset.

What about weather? Will we reschedule if it’s bad weather?

I do leave enough availability on my calendar to reschedule for rain, contagious illness, or emergencies. However, I am unable to accommodate reschedules for sports or activities or overcast skies.

What is required to book?

When you reserve your date, you will sign a contract, complete a questionnaire, and pay a $400 session fee. After your session, you will see a slideshow of your images, and purchase a package of digital images and print credit.
