Northern Kentucky Intimate and Authentic Newborn Session

Karen and Karl are the type of people you just know will be amazing parents. Even after reading the inquiry Karen submitted for a maternity and newborn package, I just knew I’d love working with them and capturing their sweet family as they grow to three. Their kindness and authenticity just shines through when you’re around them.

Their story is also one that makes you believe in miracles. Their story is one twenty-two years in the making.

For the past year, I have been on the verge of starting filmmaking. Always starting a project, but never finishing. I knew that this extremely special newborn session was the perfect time to finally dive in and complete my first film, a moving love letter to this precious little boy from his adoring parents.

This film is one I hope will be cherished for generations to come, an heirloom that will be passed down as a tangible reminder of the miracle this family has experienced.

“We spent the first trimester in appointments worried we’d lose him like we lost our first 6, the second trimester in doctor’s appointments and in disbelief, and our 3rd trimester in doctor’s appointments and feverishly preparing and…we find ourselves longing to document this miracle.”

The morning I spent in this family’s home was so calm and peaceful, and so filled with love. I feel so blessed to be the one that got to capture all the little details of their family…the precious way Karen brushes Hans’ hair, the way Karl looks down lovingly at his family.
