Hyde Park In-Home Family Session

When Lindsey scheduled their family photography session with me, we picked a June date because of the beautiful weather, but it ended up being the perfect date for a whole other reason.

The Stelzer Family has lived in their Hyde Park home for over a decade. This home is where Noah proposed to Lindsey, where they brought home sweet Ruby and Frances from the hospital, where they’ve grown and learned together. And, four days before our session, they bought a new house. Emotions were high when, a few hours before our session, Lindsey called me and said “Standing in a field right now doesn’t feel real. Can you just come here?” My answer was a quick “of course.” What could be more authentic and timeless than images in your own home, in the place your children feel the safest and laugh the loudest?

I’m going to warn you—these images are so sweet and you can feel the love here. If you’re anything like me, you may tear up a little looking at them. From the sweet summer nights on the front porch swing, to rocking sweet Frances in her room, to looking at family pictures together, these are the memories that make up our little one’s childhoods. It’s what makes it all magical.

Lindsey really expressed how important it was to get pictures on the front porch swing, since that’s where so much of their family life happens. We definitely focused on getting beautiful images there, and also wanted to capture the girls’ rooms just like they are today. From snuggles in Frances’ room to Ruby dancing up a storm in hers, I love the way we captured their unique personalities.

This session was filled with so much of what I love—real love, laughter, and all the in-between moments that mean the most. If you want to chat about scheduling your own in-home (or outdoor) family session, reach out here. I’d love to hear about your unique family and what we can capture together.
